Design of polyurethane bend restrictor element

The holes in a single bending limiter element are straight and cannot be bent, so the holes in a row of bending limiter elements cannot be bent to any ideal radius. The locking radius of the bending limiter should not be less than the operating bending radius of the composite hose. The determination of the hole size in the bending limiter element should consider the tolerance of the outer diameter of the composite hose, and the increase in the outer diameter of the hose due to the influence of ellipticity when the composite hose is bent to the maximum curvature.
